University of Georgia was founded in 1785. It is the oldest university in Georgia. The University was ranked as 56th overall among national universities and 21st overall among public national universities by U.S. News & World Report. The University attracts students across the nation and also from Georgia. It offers the states broadest array of prospects in graduate and skilled education. To teach and to serve reflects the university’s motto. The University of Georgia is divided into 18 schools and colleges. The university has 3 main campuses; the largest one is the main campus in Athens, Georgia and the two others are situated in Tifton, Georgia and Griffin, Georgia. The satellite campuses of the university are located in Atlanta and Lawrenceville. The University also operates several service and outreach stations spread across the state.
